Animas - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





The Animas River Gold Medal waters flow downstream of Durango. Solid hatches and active fish make this a great trip. Just have a 1/2 day? No problem, great choice when you have limited time on vacation.

Mountain Streams - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





Looking to cool off from the summer heat? Look no further than Mountain streams with stunning scenery & amazing trout. Primarily dry fly fishing and relatively close to Durango, Dolores and Silverton.

Dolores - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





Wade fishing the upper Dolores or the cold currents below McPhee can be a fantastic way to spend a day on the water. The upper Dolores fishes like a smaller river with the lower section being a little more technical.

San Juan River - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





Wade fishing trips on the world-famous San Juan Quality Waters, mid river and lower river private waters.

Pine River (Private Waters) - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





One of the premier rivers in southwest Colorado flowing out from Vallecito Reservoir and is close to Durango. Stunning scenery with a chance of hooking a monster brown or bow.
Rod Fee $75 per angler

San Juan (Private Waters) - Full & 1/2 Day Wade Trips





Downstream of the San Juan Quality Waters offers anglers stunning private waters home to awesome brown and rainbow trout.

MOUNTAIN STREAMS - BIKE & TROUT - FULL DAY WADE TRIP





Remote waters off the beaten path all while using a mountain bike for access. Stunning waters fishing for stunning mountain trout.

MOUNTAIN STREAMS - Train & TROUT - FULL DAY WADE TRIP





Fish mountain streams then ride the Silverton and Durango Narrow Gauge Railroad back to Durango.

Rio Grande - FULL DAY WADE TRIP





Wade fishing the Rio Grande is a wonderful trip. We guide CPW public waters as well as private waters. Fantastic dry, streamer and nymph fishing.
Season: Spring, Summer and Fall

Conejos - Full Day Wade Trip





Wade fishing on the Conejos River chasing stunning trout. Fantastic hatches, amazing trout and breathtaking scenery. Limited slots, so reach out to check on availability.

Night Time is the Right Time - Night Time WADE TRIP





Hunt a monster trout at night on the Animas River or the San Juan River below Navajo. It's wild out there!
Season: June - Oct
Experience Level: Experienced to Expert



Adding 3rd angler





Have an odd number of anglers? No problem, on some of our our wade trips you can add a third angler. Just ask us.

Season: Year-round
Full Day $125 (3rd angler) | 1/2 Day $75 (3rd angler)
Guide trip will bill at our regular guide rate.



What's included





Your professional Rio Epic guide, flies (including top secret ones) as well as terminal tackle and gear are included. Guides will offer a yummy streamside lunch, snacks and drinks. Your Epic guide will also have water on hand to top-off client's personal water bottles.


Need to borrow a fly rod/reel or waders & boots?

No problem, they are included at no extra cost.



What's not included





There is an additional charge of $50 for tax, fees and conservation fund. Customary gratuity for your guide as well as a valid Colorado or New Mexico fishing license are also not included. Some trips on private waters have additional fees.
