The Trout
These wilderness fisheries offer anglers a chance at browns, bows, brookies and cutthroat trout in the 8-20 inch range. The average fish is around 13 inches while chances at fish in the 16 to 22 inch range are not uncommon. These are multiple discipline fisheries with dries, droppers, nymphs, streamers and mice being fished depending on fish activity.
Our Guide Program
Once breakfast is complete we gear up and head out. Between 9 and 9:30 AM. We split into two groups with one group going up, the other going down stream. Fish all day with lunch midway through. We try to head back to camp around 5 or so. Guests can kick up their feet with a cocktail and appetizers or fish around camp while dinner is being prepared.
What to Expect
What makers the Rio so amazing is the action. Anglers make repeated casts to the banks and pockets hoping for an eager trout to blow-up your fly. The takes and action can be truly epic. We guide out of the comfort of our drift boats or decked-out rafts.
